California Virtual Campus Exchange Resources
What is the California Virtual Campus?
The California Virtual Campus (CVC) is a collaborative effort among California Community Colleges to ensure that more students can complete their educational goals by increasing access and success in high-quality online courses. CVC is a digital resource that provides easy access for students to enroll in fully online courses across all 115 brick-and-mortar California Community Colleges.
What is the CVC Exchange?
The CVC Exchange is a system by which participating college students can take fully online courses at another college without completing multiple admissions applications.
-
- A student must be enrolled in a Home College (a college from which students enter the CVC Exchange to take courses through other colleges) to participate.
- Courses at a Teaching College (a college that offers courses via the CVC Exchange to students from other participating colleges) are available for cross-enrollment.

Canvas Access and the CVC
Any classes you take via the CVC Exchange will appear on your Fullerton College Canvas dashboard. You will log into Canvas using your Fullerton College credentials and all of your Exchange courses will appear once your instructor has made the course available.
Financial Aid and the CVC
All participating colleges have signed a Federal Financial Aid Consortium Agreement, so students enrolled in two different colleges may be able to receive federal and state financial aid funds based on combined units taken at both colleges. To check your status, please contact your Home College’s Financial Aid Office.
Disability Support Services and the CVC
If you have cross-enrolled to a Teaching College with instant enrollment, you will also need to contact the Teaching College Disability Support Services office to obtain accommodations for your class(es) at the Teaching College. The Teaching College Disability Support Services office may connect with your Home College to coordinate accommodations.
Priority Registration and the CVC
Instant enrollment is only available during the participating colleges’ open registration period; therefore, all eligible students regardless of priority status have equal access and opportunity to register for courses.
